On 15 March 2011, the State Shoura Council asked that the the Ministry of Labor's Decision on Palestinian Employment Procedures be reviewed and re-submitted to the council once the new government is in place, because the current government is a demissionary cabinet not exercising full powers.
In addition, the State Shoura Council's decision faulted the ministry on procedural issues that highlighted the lack of seriousness of the minister of Labor when he issued the decision to implement the August 2010 law granting Palestinian refugees in Lebanon some right to work.
In a way, this decision takes advocacy for Palestinian rights to square 1. Demonstration next Saturday!
